Hrow. Last night my dad went to close the chickens into their coop and when he counted them we only had ten... We believe that the same chicken that was brooding on her eggs decided to go brood on some more. Silly chicken. The weather is very dreary and cold. ugh.... I miss Wesley.
Dearest Holly, I am soo sorry you are missing one of your chickens.. or is it two? But it did sound so cute when the missing chicken with 16 eggs tried to regather them all under her again. I hope you find the other missing chicken.. maybe she's found a nest a out in the middle of your backyard wilderness. That is what I will be hoping. Our newpaper had a picture of a buff orrington (spell?).. and it made me think of you. They are very interesting looking chickens.. :) I hope you are all better by now.. darn.. being sick is NO FUN AT ALL! I continue to LOVE your blog.. and LOVE YOU MORE.. xo aunt peggy
